Emily married Tim at their church in the Swan Valley on a hot Summer’s day last December. It was followed a beautiful, relaxed reception for their friends and family at Riverside on Woodbridge.
Emily opted for a relaxed full-length lace wedding gown with a scoop neckline and low back. The lace hemline on this wedding gown was just divine!!
Here are some of Emily’s thoughts and tips on being a bride…
I had many favourite moments, as you would on your wedding day! One of them would definitely have been putting on my veil that my grandmother made for me. I’ve always had a deep fascination and love for brides with beautiful veils, so that was really special. Another one would have to be walking down the aisle. It was one of the most scary, nerve racking things I’ve ever done but almost the most fun, joyous and emotional experiences I’ve had.
Let’s just say if I can do it, anyone can! I’m sure I was one of the most unorganised and last minute brides there’s ever been, but remaining calm and always keeping the day in perspective makes a huge difference! Plan your wedding together. My [then] fiancé, Tim, was involved in almost every decision (especially the big ones) and I loved having it that way! It was OUR wedding, not just mine. We didn’t always agree and sometimes I wanted to just go ahead and do my own thing – but it’s so special looking back and knowing that we did it together and he loved everything about it just as much as I did.
My wedding dress made me feel like the bride I’d always dreamed of being! I went in to my wedding unsure about almost everything except for my dress! I knew I didn’t want to scrimp and I knew I wanted it to be perfect, and it most definitely was. I wanted to be a relaxed, yet classic bride and my dress made all the difference!
