Fiona’s Oyster Silk Dupion and Ivory Lace Wedding Gown

Oh how I just adore an Autumn wedding and the weather can be just amazing! Fiona and Dave were married in May this year, their ceremony was held at the Ballet Centre followed by a reception at the Boatshed Restaurant in South Perth. When chatting with Fiona about her wedding she described the theme as ‘Art Deco’ inspired. We worked with Fiona to create a stunning full length ivory lace gown with a twist, we used oyster silk dupion instead of the usual matching ivory. The benefit of using a different tone is way it enhances the ivory lace, it makes the pattern stand out!

Fiona’s gown featured a v-neckline with a delicate lace scollop and a low v-neckline at the back. The gown was fitted around the hips and then fell into a dramatic train. The train also featured the delicate lace scollop. We finished her gown with a oyster silk dupion waist band and self covered buttons.

We also had the opportunity to create Fiona’s bridesmaids dresses too, each bridesmaid had a knee-length gown  out of a mocha silk dupion with different necklines and skirts.

The photos by Carly at CJ Williams Photography are just beautiful. Congratulations Fiona & Dave!
