What a day! We set up shop at One Fine Day Perth for the second year in a row and it was a huge success! Once again, One Fine Day pulled off the best bridal runway event in Perth. We showed a few of our new designs on the One Fine Day catwalk and met lots of gorgeous ‘bride-to-be’s’ at our stand. Thanks to everyone that stopped by to say hi!
We even had our gorgeous Elvi bride, Jess, slip into her own wedding gown for the event. A big thank you to Nic for her hair and Rochelle for her make-up.

Marika and Shaun travelled home to New Zealand for their intimate wedding. They exchanged vows by the water in Queenstown surrounded by their nearest and dearest. They used the beautiful backdrop of Queenstown for their photos before heading to a nearby restaurant for their reception.
Marika wanted a simple lace wedding dress that was elegant and feminine to suit their intimate wedding. We designed a figure hugging design which featured an illusion lace neckline and lace covered back. The gown was finished with a lace edged train and handmade buttons. Marika didn’t want the fuss of a veil (or to cover the beautiful back detail) so we created a hand beaded lace headpiece to compliment her gown.
I think we’ll let these scenic Queenstown photos do the talking…

Jess married Scott in an incredible DIY styled setting at Perth City Farm with what seemed like hundreds of flowers, many of them handcrafted by the bride herself! Needless to say, with photographers such as Through The Woods We Ran and stylist Jess, of The Butcher, The Baker, The Stylist and The Creator, it was a magical day for these two lovers and their guests.
We spent a lot of time with Jess working together to design her gown. We knew from the very beginning that she didn’t want to wear white and long lace sleeves were a must. We created a long sleeve wedding dress with an illusion lace neckline and a soft tulle skirt with lace that blended into the skirt. The gown was a soft latte colour which worked perfectly with the white bridesmaid dresses that were selected by her girls.
We were beyond chuffed to find Jess & Scott’s wedding grace the pages of Hello May late last year, you’ll find their wedding also on the Hello May website, click here.
and we can’t wait for her to hang out with us at One Fine Day this weekend. Yep, that’s right she’ll be popping back into her gown for the day.
“I didn’t even bother looking elsewhere as I knew that Elvi was what I wanted. I designed the dress myself with the help of Sandra of course. The dress is a latte lace long sleeve wedding dress with milk tulle. The process of the dress being created was thrilling, one fitting I even burst into tears. The ladies at Elvi really listened to what I wanted and created a beautiful gown that was all me.”

The best kind of referral is most definitely word of mouth and that’s how Angie found me, through fellow Perth hills folk. I met with Angie almost 18 months before her wedding (yes, that early, she was a very organised bride!). She also knew what she wanted from the very beginning – a couture wedding dress – lace, a touch of bling and some drama!
Over a series of fittings we created a beautiful couture wedding dress for Angie. The structured bodice featured hand sewn lace applique, handmade buttons and the most exquisite beaded waistband. The drama most definitely came in the form of Angie’s tulle skirt, layer upon layer of soft tulle. The end result was breathtaking!
Angie accessorised her couture wedding dress with not one but two pairs of shoes (bling for the ceremony, floral wedge for the reception), a beautiful lace edge veil that we also created for her, and a little blue heart that we sewed onto her bodice in memory of her Dad who passed away a few years ago.
Whilst working on Angie’s gown, we discovered that she is a fellow #girlboss and runs Aroona Day Spa in the Perth foothills! We are now loyal ‘Aroona’ clients, and send all of our family and friends to Angie and her wonderful team.
Jules and Angie were married on a warm Spring day at Mandoon Estate in the Swan Valley. Their special day was captured by Ben Yew.
It’s cliche to say but our day flew by, but I felt time stood still when Jules and I had our first dance as man and wife. He looked at me and said “This is it, everything we wanted, everyone we love is here”. And they were. Living and dead (not to sound morbid).
I also managed to do a good twirl in my wedding dress which I have always wanted to do!
